i’m a singer, songwriter, worship leader, and wife….
maybe one day i’ll be a mom….
my husband is attending seminary in New England. therefore, i am perpetually cold.
i like the beach — namely, the beaches of the South that are perpetually warm. i dream about those sunny beaches regularly.
i love music…
i am a worship leader.
i’m constantly “improving” others’ recipes, but i don’t tell.
i feel deeply but rarely cry. i wish this was different.
i love my friends - treasure them and treasure the time we have.
i have no idea what i’ll be doing in the year 2010, but i look forward to finding out.

You forgot to mention that you make a great salsa and play a mean game of Catan!
I am interested in working with you and your husband. Chris and I are looking to plant a church where God leads. Send me an email and let’s talk (go to the new website http://www.vintagechristianity.org to see what we are thinking). jcmcnutt@mac.com
Ahh - Robert Webber.
He was the Rev. Dr. Dan Orme’s (my pastor in Athens, GA @ University Church) college roommate at Covenant Seminary. He used to tell me funny stories about Dr. Webber (they apparently found much to disagree on) quite often. Which of his books do you suggest I pick up?
i haven’t forgotten about sharing my resources…i’ve been thinking about it. just wanted you to know it’ll be shared soon!! =)
thanks!
Where is he in seminary!? My husband went to Gordon Conwell, and I went to Gordon College.
Hi,
Thanks for the comment on my blog, it’s always good to speak to people you wouldn’t normally get to know. I wouldn’t usually look at a christianity / worship / religious blog as they aren’t in my regular search parameters. It’s always nice to connect to people whose beliefs are different to my own. I’m a member of the society of Friends or Quakers & I’ve really enjoyed your blog. Thank you
Hi Thanks for visiting my blog (well actually not really a blog…
One of my best friends here her husband went to Gordon Cromwell! My brother is also a singer songwriter in Nashville…he does a lot with Young Life…his music is mixed half christian half Americana…you can check his website out http://www.billycerveny.com …I look forward to reading your blog! Have a great day! Emmy : )
Hi Mandy,
What a neat site you have going here.. I’ll have to hang on to address and read when I have more time. I am still amazed when I find people like yourself who are seeking to glorify him. I want to read all that God is doing in others hearts. Thanks for stopping by http://heretotestify.blogspot.com/. It’s something new for us as well as this whole blogging thing. All of this that I see so many of you are doing is inspiring.
God Bless you as you seek God plan and will in this season.
I just linked from Anne Jackson’s blog—lots of people linked you as a great female blogger so had to check it out! I have to agree–added to my bloglines now!!
Hi Mandy!
I’m adding you to my blogroll too…looking forward to reading more!
Hey Mandy! Thanks for visiting my blog! That’s awesome that you’re a worship leader…I would really love to talk to you about that sometime…I lead worship at some of the services at our church and I would love to hear how people react to a woman leading worship!
And you are right, God puts in seasons for different reasons…I have to keep telling myself that! I’m sure the South misses you too!! Where in GA are you from? I went to college in Birmingham at Samford. Talk to you soon!
Hey…thanks for stopping into my blog and for your comment. Have we met before or was this a random find? It’s always good to connect with other women in ministry!
Thanks for visiting Confessions! I’ve enjoyed reading your blog and have bookmarked you and will be back for more! I’ll also add you to my blog role…I’ll put you next to Estrada!

Thanks for stopping by my blog
I really appreciate your comments and perspective on blending worship. I know all about small Baptist churches. Thanks for sharing the idea that God is real for folks who don’t know Coldplay and Skillet.
Mandy,
I could not find an e-mail adress for you. Could you come visit my blog or e-mail me so I can give you your confirmation number for San Antonio
Kim
Thanks, Mandy, for your heart to focus on the words of the songs, rather than so much on the style. God loves all styles! But He loves pure, heart-sprung worship grounded in His Word more! Keep loving on Him and encouraging us! - Dwayne
This is too weird, we have the same name and are going through the same hurdles in trying to have diversity in music with “blended styles” glad to know I am not the only one out there. Ha ha Literally! Too funny , small wordl!

Mandy! I am so excited to find you! I have no idea how I got to your blog… just following rabbit trail blogs. Anyway… I am Merrie Posey… used to be in Glennville…. You are such an awesome woman of God! I will visit here often. Thank you for your neat posts and all that you have… I haven’t listened to your music here, yet, but remember your incredible anointing when you sang at church.
Give your mom our love and blessings!

Hi Mandy! Just wanted to say hello as i just came across your blog. I got here through Lovely Pearls and i think your blog is fantastic! Glad to have found you. I was just wondering, what church do you lead worship at? I live in VT right now, but lived in Boston for 2 years and attended both Park Street Church and Grace Chapel. Yes, New England is very much different from the South but i hope you are enjoying it and getting used to the brutal winters! Blessings to you!
I found your blog site via a link from Greg Scheers site, and I’m glad that I visited! I enjoyed your songs in particular. Have a look at mine on the Sheer joy Music section of my website. Perhaps we could advertise your CD on our site? Every blessing from
Rev Colin

Hey,
I am the Worship leader in my church right now, also the Co-Pastor. Leading worship is not really my thing but I am holding the position until God sends someone else (I am a teacher/preacher by calling). Like your blog and will be adding you to my blog roll. Thanks for the worship resources page, I will check those out
Thanks,

I Love your blog…seriously, I’m not just saying that. I’ve been reading it for some time now!
We’re putting together a book review program for “Mommy” and Christian Women bloggers and I thought you might be interested! You may have heard of these book tours or “blog tours” before. Maybe you’ve already participated in one and know how they work. But if not…it’s super easy!
Here’s how it works…When we have a book (see below for a list of current books we’re offering) available for review, an announcement (much like this one) will be sent out. You’ll have the opportunity to sign up for ONLY the books that interest you.
We’ll send the book and information about the author to you for FREE! In exchange all we ask is that you blog about the book. You can review it, interview the author, or simply just announce the book and post some information about it.
Often the authors and/or publishing companies sponsor a contest in conjunction with these blog tours. FUN. The schedule for the tour is posted at the authors website and readers follow the tour. So that means increased traffic for your blog and potential new “friends”.
Upcoming Tours
Spring 2008
If any of these interest you, email amyalathrop@gmail.com and she’ll send you some more information!

I am not sure if we have actually ever met in real life…..I have some good friends from SSI and I even visited the church a few times with Lindsay McGinnis. I found your blog from her blog roll by the way. I am also used to work with Amy Stewart at Three Springs. So, who knows if we actually met but I have enjoyed your blog. Whenever I need a good laugh or pick me up, I usually look to see what you have posted!
